I’m taking a month off The Elektrik Cave radio show, but blog posts will continue, as will pictures on The Elektrik Cave instagram, which I’ve become a major fan of (late. I know).

The Elektrik Cave Tonight

On the show this evening we’ll be heading over to North America to explore some of the beatmakers and jazz guys over there.

Planning for this show has been harder than previous shows because there is so much.

As it’s J Dilla birthday, we’ll no doubt pay homage to the King of all beatmakers. Also, to celebrate Nas playing at the Roundhouse we’ll also have a couple of tracks from Nas. But aside from that you’ll have to keep up to date by following the twitter and instagram account.

Brand New.

Since coming back from Turkey last June, The Elektrik Cave has been desperate for a logo. Something to carry the brand through with new content. After SunSplash Festival, I was reminded that this is a small project I really need to get on – at least for the sake of the videos looking slightly more professional. But also for a bit of change.

The artist within me emerged and I sketched a few ideas. I binned a few, and was finally left with 4. I randomly picked the new logo out of the 4, and then photoshop worked its magical, and kapow! I ended up with something I quite like. In a few years, I’ll probably look back at it and think “what was I thinking?!”. But for now I quite like it.

Happy New Year from The Elektrik Cave. Welkome to 2015!

This year we have a lot planned for The Elektrik Cave. We have a mixture of unreleased bits and bobs that are so ready for the you to see. Plus The Elektrik Cave has been in meetings to talk about making something that was previously private, a little bit more public. Ooo – can’t give too much away! Ha
